How long does the Hyrolox last?
It lasts from 3-6 months (sometimes longer) , but this is dependant on the amount of times you wash your hair, if you swim and and making sure you use the correct shampoo and conditioner (Hyrolox recommends Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner)
How do you do the Hyrolox service?
Your hair is washed and then the Hyrolox solution is put on your hair. This is then left on your hair from 45-90mins to ‘develop”. The Hyrolox is then completely rinsed from your hair and your hair is blowdried and straightened. The whole process will take between 3-4 hours. You will leave the salon with poker straight, incredibly shiny hair that feels like hair. You can wash your hair the next day.
When can you colour your hair?
As with most of these type of treatments, there is the possibility of a change in colour in your hair (some people feel it lightens their hair or makes it warmer), so we recommend having your hair coloured after your Hyrolox, not before. Unlike other similar treatments however, Hyrolox has a special toner that is added into the product to help minimise the colour change, but we still advise you book colour appointments after the treatment and not before. We recommend you have your hair coloured at least 48 hours after. Just make sure the hair is washed before coming in for your colour.
Does Hyrolox work on all types of hair?
Yes Hyrolox works on all types of hair. It smoothes, de-frizzes and gives you shiny, glossy hair.. Have you found your hair is coarser or more wiry since going grey? Hyrolox can make your hair look more youthful so you can embrace the beauty of grey hair but with smoothness and shine. Do you find your hair difficult to manage and blowdry? Hyrolox will speed up your blow dry, or even allow you to leave your hair to dry naturally. Do you want to keep your curls but just make them less frizzy, we can do that with Hyrolox. It can be adapted to suit your hair and the look you want to achieve. But always with softness and shine. Please not this will not make your hair power straight and your hair will still have some frizz if you leave it to dry naturally and don’t put any product in your hair.
How ofter can I apply Hyrolox?
You can apply Hyrolox as much as you like, however we advise to leave it at least two months in between services.
Does Hyrolox fade or grow out?
After your first service it will fade out and your hair will return to how it was before. You may notice over time and the more treatments you have, you hair may become straighter on the ends. if you don’t want it to get any straighter, we can just re-do your roots.
Does Hyrolox contain any formaldehyde?
It does not contain any trace of formaldehyde or similar chemical, even when heated.
