Sophie is one of our salon owners and has worked in the industry for over 23 years. Sophie opened Langtons with her sister in 2007 with a dream to create a beautiful salon in Lewes offering the highest standards of hair, beauty and customer service.

She is proud to be a holder of the prestigious Loreal Colour Specialist degree. She has always had a huge passion for colour and loves being able to lift someone's mood and give self confidence with a new colour and cut. Sometimes it's only a subtle change that is needed but everyone always leaves her chair feeling better in themselves than when they came in.

CO-OWNER

Nicky always had a passion for hair and beauty, despite studying Psychology at Sussex University. So after leaving she followed her passion and became a make up artist alongside working on reception in a hair salon. She always dreamt of opening a salon with her sister so focused on learning everything there was to running a successful business.

In 2006 they took over Langtons in the heart of Lewes and grew it from a tiny salon at the top of the High St to its current, beautiful, spacious salon on Fisher Street. Always looking for ways to improve the service at Langtons, she launched a luxury beauty service and brought Aveda to Lewes in recent years.

Nicky spends some of the time on reception and working behind the scenes, alongside bringing up her two daughters.

SALON MANAGER / COLOUR DIRECTOR

Chris has been hairdressing since 2002 and qualified at Toni & Guy in Winchester. He has been at Langtons for over 10 years now and is our fantastic salon manager.

Chris is our colour specialist in the salon and is qualified in both Loreal and Aveda. He is our expert in all things colour, but his speciality is in ombre/balyage and big colour changes and corrections.

He loves how each day at work he can make such a difference to someone's day - whether that be giving them a confidence boost with a new colour or just being there with friendly chat. He wants every client to leave feeling better than when they came in.

DIRECTOR

Gemma is a hair stylist with over 20 years experience. She both colours and cuts and is trained in L'Oreal and Aveda colour. She loves to work with peoples natural hair and help them achieve a look that makes them look great but is easy to look after and achieve themselves. She is also our head wedding hair specialist and has been giving Lewes brides their dream look for over 16 years.

DIRECTOR

Rachael has been hairdressing since 2010 and has been with Langtons since 2018. She is a specialist in both Loreal and Aveda colour. She loves to tailor a colour to suit you. Whether you want to refresh your existing colour, enhance your natural hair with a few highlights or balayage pieces or a complete colour change.

She particularly enjoys cutting and the precision of bobs and short hair and loves to add a little pop of colour to show off that new cut. She is currently part-time and works Tuesdays, Thursdays and every other Saturday.

SENIOR STYLIST / COLOURIST

Craig has been hairdressing for over 10 years and has been with Langtons since 2015. He is both a highly experienced colourist and stylist. He prides himself on giving excellent customer service to all of his clients. His area of expertise is in short hair and barbering. He loves nothing more than a big restyle from long to short, but is also happy doing a root touch up and trim and loves the time to catch up and make someone feel good. He loves nothing more than working out a client's long term goals with their hair and helping them get there.

Craig listened to me and gave me a super hair cut - a mid length messy bob - working with my fine, frizzy, curly hair. I walked out knowing I had a cut I could manage with a boost of self confidence. A really lovely, and non intimidating experience.

SENIOR STYLIST/ COLOURIST

Amber has been qualified since 2015 and does both colour and cutting. Her strengths are in cutting and styling and loves nothing more than doing a huge restyle. But also takes great pleasure in giving someone a colour re-touch and trim and making them feel great again.

She prides herself on the hair advice she gives to all her clients and loves nothing more than educating her clients on their hair and after care, including how to recreate the styling at home.

She is also one of our bridal and hair up specialists in the salon.

CURRENTLY ON MATERNITY LEAVE

Louise has been in the hair industry since 2016 and made a decision early on to specialise in colour as it was her passion. She loves all aspects of colour and seeing the difference it can make to people's confidence when you do a great colour, but her speciality is in blonding and balayage. She also loves blowdrying and is your girl for those beachy waves.

SENIOR STYLIST/COLOURIST

Harriet is a Senior Stylist who can both colour and cut and has been hairdressing for over 7 years. She is Toni and Guy trained and loves creating lived in blondes and brunettes that look effortlessly natural and personalised to each client. She likes to complement those colours with bespoke cuts that enhance each individuals facial features. She especially loves creating textured cuts and bobs.

SENIOR STYLIST/COLOURIST

Holly began her career in hair at the tender age of 16. With 15+ years experience she continues to push herself in all aspects of hair. She joined Langtons in 2016 and is highly qualified in both colouring, cutting and is one of our bridal and hair up specialists.

She is an Aveda colour specialist as well as an expert in all things Loreal. She works every Friday as she balances life with her three young boys.

SENIOR STYLIST

Liberty has been hairdressing for over 23 years having trained and spent many years at Toni & Guy. She has been with Langtons since 2015. She specialises in cutting and styling and prides herself on creating cuts that are both versatile and easy to manage at home. She enjoys making all her clients feel relaxed and happy and wants to make sure every client leaves smiling. Liberty works every Wednesday.

GRADUATE STYLIST

Grace has now completed her NVQ 2 in Hairdressing. She is already showing great promise with all aspects of her hairdressing skills.

She will be doing simple colours and cuts during her Graduate Training Programme. She will be available to book on Monday’s, Tuesdays, and Saturdays. Her rates will be heavily discounted during this time while she continues her training.

She enjoys all aspects of hairdressing but particularly enjoys colouring and blowdrying and styling and giving a transformation and making people feel great.

RECEPTIONIST

Sara has been a hairdresser for over 18 years, but since having children has been working at Langtons as our fantastic receptionist. She adores hair and making people feel good about themselves, but is now using her skills and experience towards improving the salon experience for all our clients. She always makes sure everyone is looked after and the salon is running smoothly.
