Medik8 Skin Peels

A peel is a cosmetic treatment that removes the top layer of the skin, leading to visible improvements in appearance. Peels are often categorised by their depth: superficial, medium and deep.  A course of 3 peels is recommended for best results.

Superfacial Peel

  • Enzyme Peel
  • Brightens and smoothes skin
  • No downtime
  • Suitable for sensitive skin

This mild peel uses natural fruit enzymes to dissolve the dead skin cells that can give the appearance of a dull complexion.  It leaves your skin instantly brighter, smoother and more radiant, without any peeling or redness.

Less redness and less downtime.

whitePeel – Level 2

  • Reduces hyper-pigmentation
  • Improves uneven skin tone
  • Brightens skin
  • Mild Peeling

The most effective way to achieve a brighter and more even skin tone. Renews skin layers and prevents the darkening of new skin cells.  Contains L-Lactic acid and Phytic acid an effective depigmenting agent proven to reduce melanin formation.

Peel FAQs

How should I prepare my skin?

Your therapist will give you a priming kit containing the essential Medik8 products to use 2 weeks before your first treatment.  You should continue to use these products 3 months after treatment.

What should I expect?

Before Treatment:  You will have  a consultation and patch test at least two weeks before your first peel. You will be given your personalised skin priming kit to be used for 2 weeks prior to your first treatment.

Day of treatment: Your skin will be cleansed thoroughly and then the peel applied, and neutralised (if needed). The peel will be left on for up to 10 mins only.  You should expect a slight stinging sensation. The peel will be removed with ice cold water. Then serums, moisturiser and SPF applied.  You  should expect your skin to be red directly after your peel.

What are the aftercare recommendations?

You should avoid putting anything on your skin after your peel.  In the days after you should gently cleanse your skin, no exfoliators.  You should limit your sun exposure and always apply a suncreen. We recommend Medik8 Ultimate Recovery on the treated area to help with any redness and flakiness.
